Sephora Haul: Kat Von D True Romance Palette in Love and Fury

The other product I got last night at Sephora was this Kat Von D True Romance Palette in Love and Fury. This was the only Kat Von D palette that I didn't own. When I went to look for it the spot was empty. I asked the sales lady if they had anymore and she said no :( I was bummed, but after I picked up my UD BOSIII she came up to me and handed me one. She had found a few somewhere else in the store. I was super excited. This palette is so gorgeous. You get 8 colors and 3 of them are creams. Here's a list of the colors in order as they appear in the swatches:
Albino
Holy Bible
Slayer (cream)
Glock
Crucifix (cream)
Bloodletting (cream)
Ace of Spades
Oddfellow
Like I said before, I have all of her palettes and I really think that this one is my fave. It's so dark and mysterious. It retails for $34.

Sephora Haul: Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol III

I went to Sephora last night because I had the $15 gift card for being a Beauty Insider. I had been so busy that I forgot about it and then I checked my email to find a reminder email because yesterday was the last day. I originally went in to purchase the UD 24/7 Jackpot eyeliner set because some of mine are running low and I wanted another set for one of my kits. Anyway, they didn't have any instock :( so I was walking around the store trying to decide what to get. I needed a new Book of Shadows Vol. III because idiot me dropped my other one and completely shattered it :( So here it is, my brand new Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. III. I don't own any of the other ones just because I own the individual shadows that have come in most of them so I thought of them as a waste, but I really LOVE the packaging of this one since NYC is one of my fave places. So here's what you get: 16 eyeshadows, 2 24/7 Eyeliners and one travel size eyeshadow primer potion. The colors you get are as follows (also in order by the swatches above):
Perversion
Uzi
Loaded
Kush
Midnight Cowboy Rides Again
Last Call
Rockstar
Money
Haight
Maui Wowie
Smog
Bordello
Radium
Snatch
Suspect
Psychedelic Sister
Eyeliners: Zero and Ransom
These are all gorgeous colors and amazingly pigmented. If you don't own this one yet, then you should definitely pick it up. It retails for $54.

REVIEW: ELF Tinted Moisturizer

Let me start off by saying that I am not a tinted moisturizer kinda girl. I have never used it because I like a full coverage face. I have freckles that I can't stand so I like to cover up a lot, but when ELF came out with this new Tinted Moisturizer with spf 20 I wanted to try it out. I ordered this a few weeks ago and it's been sitting in my drawer full of ELF face cosmetics so I figured since I was going grocery shopping and didn't feel like doing my dramatic makeup application that I would try this out. Well, by my great surprise I really like it. I got the color porcelain which is the lightest color they have. My foundation is way lighter than this color so I thought it was going to be too dark and it matches perfectly. The 3rd picture is what it looks like blended into my hand. You can't even see it at all. It did even out my skin because I have a little redness and you couldn't tell at all. I glided on smooth and wasn't sticky or anything. I put this on at about 1:00 pm and it's now 8:30 pm and it still looks flawless and it's not greasy at all. I really like this product. It only costs $3 and is totally worth it.

REVIEW: Vaseline Repairing Moisture Lotion

I got this free sample of Vaseline Repairing Moisture Body Lotion in the mail the other day and love it. I just recently moved from Cali to Connecticut and the weather has messed with my skin in a bad way. My skin is so dry and itchy it's ridiculous. I was using Suave Advanced Therapy lotion for a really long time and really loved it, but since I've been living in this forsaken cold weather it hasn't been working like it used to. This Vaseline lotion on the other hand has been working like a miracle. My skin isn't as dry and definitely doesn't itch. It's only been a few days, but so far I'm in love. It's a thick formula, non greasy, and fragrance free. I'm making a trip to Walmart tomorrow just to pick up a full size bottle. I don't think it costs anymore than $5 and it's a really great lotion.

REVIEW: EOS Lip Balm

So by now I'm sure all of you know what the EOS Lip Balms are, but I figured I'd go ahead and do a post anyway. This was the first one I got and it's in Summer Fruit. I found it at Walmart and picked it up because I had heard so many good things about them. I'm a Carmex girl all the way, but my hubby hates the taste of it so I wanted to give this a try on his behalf lol. I love these. I have purchased all of them because I can't live with out them. They are so moisturizing. They're perfect for me because of my lips adjusting to the weather change. I love the way they smell and they taste so good lol. Not to mention that they're packaging is just so cute. I believe I paid around $3 each, but they're definitely worth trying out.

November Favorites

I don't usually do these monthly favorites, but this month I've tried out a few new products that I really do love and am so happy I purchased. Here are my faves of November 2010: MAC MSF in Refined- beautiful golden color and looks fabulous on. I use it as a highlight with some looks or to contour with others. I even used it to just brighten up my crease area. ELF Tinted Moisturizer SPF20 in Porcelain- I just did a review on this so check it out, but this is a great inexpensive tinted moisturizer. Vaseline Repairing Moisture Body Lotion- I also just did a review on this. The best lotion I've tried in a long time. ELF Studio Concealer Stick in Light- OMG and amazing concealer for a great price. It's great coverage and the perfect match. Go check out my review. EOS Lip Balm- Love Love LOOOOVE these. The best lip balms ever...just did a review so go check it out. ELF High Definition Powder- If you like the MUFE HD Powder, but don't want to pay the high price tag, then you should try this one. It's not as great as the MUFE, but it's a decent enough dupe for only $6. So those are my November Favorites..Hope you enjoyed. If I find anymore products I really love next month them I'll do another one :)

REVIEW: ELF Studio Daily Brush Cleaner

I've tried out many different brush cleaners because lets face it, it is a MAJOR must have for anyone who does makeup on themselves or on others.  You must clean your brushes to keep them not only looking good and up to their full potential, but also to keep them sanitary.  I've been testing out a lot of products from ELF's Studio Line and one of the things I recently got was their Daily Brush Cleaner in a spray bottle.  It's a decent product for the price, only $3 and you get a good amount (8.5 oz).  This is more for spot cleaning rather than deep cleaning.  You will still need to get a brush shampoo for that and ELF also sells one of those, which I'm in the process of reviewing.  I don't recommend this for your more expensive brushes just because it's a little sticky and takes forever to dry.  I've tested this out on my Coastal Scents brushes and had to use water after using it to get some of the product off.  I also tested it out on one of my Sigma brushes (I had an extra) and had to throw it away because it was too sticky once it dried.  I haven't had too much of a problem on my cheaper brushes, but I won't be using this on any more expensive brushes, but then again you get what you pay for so this wasn't a surprise to me.
